Dr. Jin H. Paik has worked at the intersection of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the future of work for over fifteen years in both academia and industry. He advises organizations on leveraging AI to drive innovation, productivity, and strategic advantage.
Most recently, Jin served as the Senior Director of Labs and Head of Strategic Research Programs at the Data, Digital, and Design (D^3) Institute at Harvard, where he led research and innovation efforts focused on emerging technologies and organizational transformation. He was also the co-founding Director and a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH), where he directed over 800 innovation projects in partnership with organizations such as NASA, Harvard Medical School, the Broad Institute, and several Fortune 500 companies. His leadership helped scale NASA’s open innovation program from a $500K pilot to a $475M portfolio by 2025.
Jin has taught extensively at Harvard through in-person and online courses and seminars, and continues to help business and government leaders leverage AI into practical, strategic capabilities. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree from Harvard, and a doctorate from New York University, where he studied innovation and leadership in organizations. He is the co-author of Open Talent: Leveraging the Global Workforce to Solve Your Biggest Challenges (Harvard Business Review Press, 2024).
